Ok, I’m having a hard time knowing how to respond to the opening of the CNN YouTube debate. They’re opening with some of the questions we won’t see tonight. Of course these don’t show us at our best. On the other hand, it is important for CNN to explain their selection process, particularly since it was a closed process which has been a problem from some prominent bloggers, like Jeff Jarvis at Bloggermachine.com. How much more credibility would the process have if they had involved citizens in making the decisions!
But we’re into the third question and it’s such an historic event that I’m not going to let the opening or the process jade me!
